Sentrum 7 launches in Guernsey
Sentrum specialists in the design, build and management of bespoke data centre solutions, has today announced the opening of its seventh data centre; Sentrum Guernsey. The new facility is an extension to the Sentrum Solutions offering, and includes state of the art disaster recovery solutions.
Designed to a Tier 3+ level of resilience, Sentrum 7 boasts 17,000 sq ft of data centre space and 17,000 sq ft of associated plant, alongside 31,000 sq ft of ancillary DR suites which offer 700 disaster recovery desks that can be leased on either a dedicated or a syndicated basis. Varying levels of IT services are also available, ranging from a ‘Remote Hands’ service to a more sophisticated ‘Intelligent Hands & Eyes’ package.
“Establishing a Sentrum offering in Guernsey was a natural extension for the business and I believe this decision greatly enhances our portfolio of existing data centres,” explained Andy Ruhan, CEO at Sentrum. “Guernsey, a low tax jurisdiction, is home to a thriving financial community which will now have direct access to best-of-breed disaster recovery facilities and colocation capabilities. Sentrum 7 will also benefit those organisations looking to move their current data centres offshore.”
