Building Management Systems
The resilience and security of all Sentrum data centres is managed using sophisticated Building Management Systems (BMS). These facilitate the monitoring of all the core aspects of each facility, from power delivery through to temperature, humidity, fire and security.
The BMS provision on all sites is the first line of the Sentrum Facilities Management team’s eyes and ears. All critical systems and areas are monitored by the Trend based BMS. Fully intelligent live graphics displays with interactive alarm banners monitor all systems for fault and provide early warnings on potential maintenance issues.
The BMS does not complete any controls actions via the network. All controls are fail safe on and hard wired to ensure that, even in the unlikely event of a communications failure, all systems continue to operate normally.
Reliance on the BMS reporting is supplemented by regular manual inspections and recordings, undertaken by the 24/7 Sentrum Facilities Management team.
