Sentrum is a staunch advocate of maximising energy efficiencies and ensures that this is one of the primary considerations in the design and delivery of all of its solutions.

There are a number of benchmarking tests that can be deployed within a data centre environment. In particular, Sentrum champions the use of PUE (Power Usage Effectiveness) calculations at peak and part load operations, testing all solutions to ensure that design objectives are achieved. Where required, Sentrum will also design to BREEAM (BRE Environmental Assessment Methods) targets.

Even when the data centre has been designed, commissioned and tested, energy efficiency continues to be one of the key priorities for the Sentrum Facilities Management team together with the resilience and ongoing reliability demanded of such mission-critical environments.

Sentrum works closely with specialist suppliers to continuously push them to develop increasingly energy efficient equipment without compromising resilience. This way of working builds trust and puts Sentrum at the front of the field when it comes to reviewing new developments ensuring a more energy efficient solution for all its clients.
